MHG was started in 1978 in Rockville, Maryland with a total of six employees. The firm provided civil engineering and surveying services to local clients in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. As the years went by, MHG expanded its number of employees and clients, moved to a new location in Gaithersburg, MD and expanded its services to also provide land planning, environmental analysis and landscape architecture. In those years, MHG developed a reputation for providing quality work on a wide range of projects. MHG's clients come from both the public and private sector. They include developers, investment groups, individual landowners, major corporations, local jurisdictions and non-profit institutions. MHG has participated in many award winning projects and has been recently recognized by the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association with the Associate Member of the Year Award which is given to one firm in acknowledgement of their exemplary professional service to the building industry.
