SENIOR ENGINEER

A graduate of Penn State's Schreyer Honors Program (B.S. Civil Engineering and M.Eng. Environmental Engineering,) Laura Searles joined MHG in May 2018 to work in the Environmental Section as a Design Engineer. Throughout her time at MHG, she has worked on a variety of projects for local jurisdictions, including Montgomery County, Howard County, the City of Gaithersburg, and the City of Rockville. As a lifelong Montgomery County resident, she loves working on projects close to home and is always looking for new challenges to tackle. She is proficient in sediment control and stormwater management design projects ranging in size from single-family homes to 35-acre sites. As a key member of the MHG Women’s Group, Laura coordinated collections to benefit Gaithersburg HELP on behalf of MHG. She became a Professional Engineer in January of 2021, and she looks forward to what the future holds for her in environmental engineering.
