Artis Senior Living is a nationwide developer-owner-operator of assisted living facilities, specializing in memory care.  In 2017 Artis purchased a 4.4 acre residential estate, perched atop a hill overlooking River Road (MD-190) and Cabin John Creek.  The original house was demolished, and the site was redeveloped with a 64 bed memory care facility, including underground parking.  The site design was especially challenging due to the elevation change between River Road and the developable area of the property.  The site was also heavily forested, very close to the bed of Cabin John Creek and included work on Montgomery County Parks property.

 MHG provided Civil Engineering, Land Planning, Landscape Architecture and Land Surveying services for the project, from its original conception, through final construction.  As a Conditional Use, MHG also served as an expert witness during the zoning approval process.
