Rockville Town Center was developed by Duball, LLC to provide additional residential and retail space to downtown Rockville.  Two new buildings were constructed in separate phases.  A new public roadway was also constructed to bisect the property and to enhance the downtown street grid. 

 

Phase 1 was completed in 2015.  The 18-story building includes the 263 unit Upton Apartments, the Cambria Suites Hotel, structured parking, and ground floor retail.  Construction began the Phase 2 building in 2019.  It includes the 250 unit Ansel Apartments, 150 senior housing units, structured parking, and ground floor retail.  Based on Duball’s partnership with the Housing Opportunities Commission, 112 of the senior housing units are affordable.      

 

MHG provided land surveying and civil engineering services for both development phases though land entitlement, engineering, and construction.  MHG’s design scope included roadway design, stormwater management, water, sewer, and storm drain improvements.
